Summer break can be an excellent time to help kids get excited about and involved with missions!

PRAYER SUPPORT:

With schools on break, most kids find themselves with extra time on their hands. Take advantage of this extra time and focus on missions as a family by praying together. You can even “adopt” a missionary or ministry partner for daily prayer. Oakseed offers many different prayer resources to help direct your prayers, such as a children’s prayer guide, quarterly prayer guide, daily prayer request emails, suggested daily rhythm of prayer calendar, and regular ministry updates on our blog.

Visit www.oakseed.org/prayer for more information.

FINANCIAL SUPPORT:

Get creative in finding ways to raise money to support missions projects, such as selling lemonade or hosting a bake or yard sale. Visit oakseed.org to read about our different ministry partners and peruse our bazaar catalog.  Enlist your church’s youth or children’s groups to work together towards a missions goal.

Contact info@oakseed.org for suggested needs for each ministry and information about the resources we are happy to provide, including brochures, catalogs, prayer guides, and children’s prayer guides. We can also provide short videos about a specific missions partner or goal for your VBS or other group fundraisers. We’re thrilled to be able to partner with you for the cause of missions and would love to work with you to help you reach your goals.

If you want to share how you got involved with missions this summer, please take a picture and send an email to mary@oakseed.org. We’d love to hear your ideas!
