Gospel Ministry and Care for Infants and Children
Every life matters to Jesus, including the lives of some of the most vulnerable among us – babies and young children. Several of Oakseed’s ministry partners provide care for these little ones, including prenatal care, medical care for malnourished babies and young children, and support for children born to incarcerated mothers
Here is a sampling of Oakseed’s ministry partners who care for babies in their communities as part of their gospel ministry.
Angel Care Pregnancy Center (Liberia) meets the dire needs of impoverished families in Liberia by sharing the gospel through prenatal and postnatal care for mothers. They provide counseling, baby supplies, prenatal medical care, infant care, and parent skills training for families.
Love Link (El Salvador) serves 800 families from the slums of San Salvador. Malnourished babies and young children are referred to the center from local hospitals, and many are near death when they arrive. Love Link provides round-the-clock care, nourishing the babies and providing medical care and therapy. They follow up with additional medical and nutritional care upon discharge, supporting families who live in deep poverty.
SACDEM (Argentina) cares for incarcerated mothers and their children, who live with their mothers in prison until they turn four years old. They provide a weekly time for the children to have a break from the prison environment and play in a safe place. SACDEM also provides foster care or adoption for those who do not have family to go to when they turn four and must leave their mothers in prison.
