Ministry Update: Arise and Shine (Kenya)

Arise and Shine is a ministry in Kericho, Kenya, dedicated to supporting individuals with disabilities and their families. Founded by a Christian mother with experience with developmental challenges in her own family, this ministry is driven by a deep compassion to see every person valued, cared for, and helped to reach their God-given potential.

On Christmas Eve, Arise and Shine visited the Kericho County Referral Hospital Newborn Unit to deliver gifts to 40 mothers and their babies. These mothers, coming from underprivileged backgrounds, rejoiced as they received gift hampers with food, milk, soap, diapers, and other basic items. The pastor of Kericho Reformed Baptist Church led a spontaneous Christmas sermon based on Isaiah 9:6, encouraging these mothers with the compassion and hope of the gospel as they face challenges in childbirth and raising their children.

Each of these mothers will not forget the compassion shown to them this Christmas season. Please pray for the Lord to cause the gospel that was preached, alongside the gospel that was demonstrated , to bring each of them and their families to know and worship the God who sees and cares for them.
