Ministry Update: Bangladesh Hope (Bangladesh)

One of the key aspects of its work is the care and support it provides for vulnerable children through its Blessing Home (boys’ orphanage) and Grace Home (girls’ orphanage). Bangladesh Hope is also deeply committed to extending the love of Christ through practical acts of mercy and compassion. Its mercy ministry responds to emergencies, such as natural disasters, by providing immediate relief to affected communities. Bangladesh Hope also reaches out to the poor, the widowed, and other marginalized groups with offers of food, medical assistance, and other essential resources.

Over the past several months, the Lord has blessed the preaching of His word through Sunday services, home fellowships, Bible studies, women’s meetings, prayer times, and evangelistic visits. A missions team visited a village and was able to share the gospel with more than 60 families, several of whom indicated an interest in learning more about Christ. The team is hoping to start a new fellowship group there soon. In another region, churches are growing, and believers celebrated a baptism service with testimonies and worship.

In late November, pastors, evangelists, and children’s caretakers attended Bangladesh Hope’s Advance Church Planting Review Training. This was a time of spiritual renewal, leadership reflection, and renewed commitment to church planting and disciple making.

The children in Bangladesh Hope’s care are doing well, physically, spiritually, and academically. Sixteen boys live at Blessing Home 1 and 12 girls in Grace Home. Blessing Home 2 houses several college-aged young men. The most exciting news is that Bangladesh Hope has completed the first two phases of its building project, a new home for the boys that will also serve as a place of worship and emergency shelter.
