Ministry Update: Vision for the Visually Challenged (India)
Its mission integrates evangelism, rehabilitation, education, family care, medical aid, and social welfare, all undergirded by a commitment to proclaim Christ and uplift those who live with limited or no sight. It oversees multiple field regions, serving communities through missionary staff, volunteers, and local fellowships.
Last year, Oakseed began a partnership with VVC, and Oakseed’s supporters now have the opportunity to receive ministry updates and pray for the ministry regularly. Over the second half of the year, VVC had the opportunity to share the gospel with over 350 people at evangelistic events, providing monthly follow-up meetings, with the goal of integrating people into local churches for ongoing discipleship and fellowship.
VVC complements its evangelistic efforts with practical aid, supporting children of visually impaired parents, and it currently has 50 children in its care. It also assists with medical care, such as eye operations, check-ups, and nutrition. Where needed, VVC assists families with food and other basic necessities.
Over the Christmas holidays, VVC was able to host evangelistic outreaches for over 800 people, desiring to point people to the true meaning of Christmas and give all glory and honor to the Lord.
