Ministry Update: Bangladesh Hope (Bangladesh)
Ministering in an unreached people group, where only around 0.2% of people identify as Christian, Bangladesh Hope has grown from humble beginnings into a vibrant movement of church planting, discipleship, and mercy ministry. One key aspect of its work is the care and support it provides for vulnerable children through its Blessing Home (boys’ orphanage) and Grace Home (girls’ orphanage).
Bangladesh Hope Church continued in outreach this fall through evangelism, house fellowships, and discipleship training among several people groups. Leaders have been especially encouraged by spiritual interest among people in several southern and hill tract regions. In the northern region, six churches are growing in discipleship and community witness.
The children in Bangladesh Hope’s children’s homes are thriving as they receive education, spiritual guidance, and family-style care in a Christ-centered environment. Blessing Home 1 houses sixteen boys, who are thriving in their studies and growing in faith. Several achieved outstanding academic results, one was chosen to represent his school in district-level sports, and another received a scholarship award. They are currently studying through the book of 2 Kings in their family devotions and actively participate in worship. The college boys in Blessing Home 2 help with leading worship, mentoring younger boys, and assisting local pastors during evangelical events. The girls at Grace Home are also growing spiritually and academically.
