Ministry Update: Kenya Needy Orphans and Children (Kenya)

Kenya Needy Orphans and Children is a ministry under Grace Baptist Church in Kisumu, Kenya, that supports high school education and post-graduation planning for orphans and impoverished children. Its mission is to promote quality education and provide spiritual nurturing so these young people can serve the Lord in their churches, vocations, and lives.

Board members recently completed several home visits. One visit was to siblings Emmanuel and Mitchelle. Emmanuel is interested in pursuing a career in law, and Mitchelle would like to be a Kiswahili teacher. Both have clear testimonies of faith and are set to be baptized and join their local church soon. Another student, Brian, was recently baptized and joined his local church.

KNOC has multiple opportunities to preach the gospel throughout the year in its Teen’s Camp, Home Visitations, and Youth and Family Conferences. It also encourages its students and their families to commit to and become part of biblical local churches. In August, KNOC sponsored its annual youth conference for high school and college students at Grace Baptist Eldoret. The theme was “Practical Holiness.” The next major event is the December Family Conference at Grace Baptist Church of Kisumu.

KNOC’s board ended by saying, “We are continually grateful for your partnership and prayers that continues to make our labors not just joyful and attainable but profitable to these young people.”
