Ministry Update: Lily of the Valleys (Brazil)

Lily of the Valleys , a Bible-based residential drug and alcohol care program in Catanduva, Brazil, has been an Oakseed partner since 1994. Hundreds of women have come through this facility, arriving in brokenness and leaving with new hope and freedom found in the gospel of Christ.

Spiritual Care : For those who wish, Lily offers Bible studies, weekly worship services, and support groups that bring comfort, hope, and faith.

Health Care : Lily encourages the women, many of whom have neglected personal healthcare for years, to take care of their physical health. Vaccination campaigns help protect them from diseases such as influenza, hepatitis, and others that may affect their health during recovery. Lily also provides regular gynecological care, ensuring that all women have access to preventive health exams and treatments, a vital part of comprehensive care.

Physical Activities : Lily offers activities to promote physical and mental well-being.

Cooking Workshops and Art Therapy : The women learn recipes and develop new skills that can be useful in their future lives. Through art, including painting and sculpture, they express their feelings and strengthen emotional healing. Crochet is a relaxing activity that helps to decrease anxiety and improve focus, and the women create handmade pieces while developing motor and cognitive skills.
