Ministry Update: Kenya Needy Orphans and Children (Kenya)

Kenya Needy Orphans and Children recently shared an update from its late summer activities, including the annual student home visitations and annual youth conference.

KNOC’s board conducts two student visits each year. In the spring, they visit the students at their schools; in the late summer, they visit them in their homes. These visits are a vital part of KNOC’s shepherding and discipleship of the students, allowing the board members to interact with them in their everyday environments, see how they are doing at school, and meet and build relationship s with their families.

“We are very grateful for your continued partnership and prayer. The Lord has been very gracious to us thus far. We were able to visit the students at home in August. Both the parents and the churches that we are working with are very grateful for your prayers and support. Some of these students , like Cornelius Wekesa , who lives with his grandmother , are very needy.”

KNOC hosts an annual youth conference, inviting young people from across the country to gather for three days of teaching, worship, and fellowship.

“From the 21st to the 23rd of August, we hosted the youth conference at our church with the theme “Do you have a living faith?” (James 2:14-26). The event had a turnout of 80 youths, with 19 KNOC students attending. I n the pas t, the Lord has used such meetings to save some of these youths. Your prayers and partnership have allowed us to sponsor all the KNOC students for such events. Do pray for the fruit of salvation and sanctification.”
