Ministry Update: Lily (Brazil)

Lily of the Valleys is a Christ-centered therapeutic community in Catanduva, Brazil, that provides holistic treatment and rehabilitation for women struggling with drug addiction. Founded over 30 years ago, this ministry has been a beacon of hope, transforming the lives of countless women and their families through the power of the gospel.

Lily’s director shares that family visits and video conferences have strong therapeutic value. For those being treated, these times reduce feelings of abandonment, strengthen self-esteem, stimulate motivation to continue treatment, and act as fundamental preparation for social and family reintegration. Direct contact with loved ones, when healthy, makes the person being treated feel that their life change is celebrated and supported, which renews their strength to cope with the most difficult phases of rehabilitation. Members of Lily’s staff are present during the visit to allow for open dialogue, and help with rebuilding relationships of trust.

How to Pray for Lily

• Please pray that the Lord will free the women who come to Lily of the Valleys from the grip of drug addiction and help them to find true healing and restoration in him.
• Please pray for the Lord to not only free the women from addiction but also to bring about reconciliation and healing in relationships.
• Pray for the Lord to protect Lily of the Valleys from government decisions that would restrict it from sharing the gospel.
