A Message from Oakseed’s Director

Last year was an encouraging year for Oakseed as we witnessed the Lord answer countless prayers for Oakseed and our ministry partners. He provided two new ministry liaisons, orchestrating meetings and conversations at just the right time to build our team and meet ministry needs. He provided six new ministry partners who are doing incredible work to share the love of Christ and transform lives around the world.

The Lord answered prayers for safety and preserved lives during wildfires, flooding, and political conflict. He gave hope and comfort to the grieving and healing and peace to the afflicted. He blessed the teaching of His Word and prayers of His people during evangelism outreach events, retreats, children’s camps, Bible studies, home visitations, medical outreaches, youth and family conferences, and daily devotionals.

Oakseed’s mission is to support indigenous ministries that share the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ and minister to the needs of the world’s poorest and most neglected urban communities. Oakseed does this through strategic partnerships with existing indigenous ministries instead of sending missionaries or starting new ministries.

We currently have 30 ministry partners in 15 different countries around the world. Our newest bazaar catalog has gone out in the mail and is live on our website. We invite you to look through it to “meet” most of these ministry partners. As you browse, you will notice that no two ministries are alike. However, though each partner’s focus and strategies differ, common threads weave through all of them: a heart for the urban poor, a clear calling from the Lord, a commitment to sharing the gospel message, and sacrificial leadership.

Your gifts to Oakseed’s bazaar catalog meet the real needs of each specific ministry and provide opportunities for our ministry partners to exemplify God’s love, bring the gospel to those in need, and continue gospel conversations as they bless them with tangible gifts. One hundred percent of your gift will reach your designated ministry partner. Your prayers for Oakseed’s ministry partners will help them fill the earth with “the knowledge of the glory of the Lord as the waters cover the sea.”
