Ministry Update: Vision for the Visually Challenged (India)
Vision for the Visually Challenged (VVC) is a Christ-centered organization that ministers to blind and visually impaired individuals in India. Its mission integrates evangelism, rehabilitation, education, family care, medical aid, and social welfare, all undergirded by a commitment to proclaim Christ and uplift those who live with limited or no sight. It oversees multiple field regions, serving communities through missionary staff, volunteers, and local fellowships.
VVC’s directors shared this late-summer update:
“Our missionaries continue their ministries well, meeting daily for prayer and regularly visiting railway stations, bus depots, homes, hostels, hospitals, schools, and colleges to meet people and share the gospel. In July, VVCF missionaries conducted 18 Fellowship Centres in Maharashtra and 12 in Tamil Nadu, with an average of 20 visually challenged and 10 sighted attendees at each.”
The director also shared about one of the missionaries in the Aurangabad area, highlighting the importance of reaching visually impaired people with the gospel and the joys of seeing visually impaired believers serving the Lord in gospel ministry:
“Satish was born in Aurangabad. As most of his family members, including his uncles, started losing their eyesight, he too lost his vision after finishing 4th standard in school. He came to know Christ through IMS missionaries and was baptised under the guidance of Sister Karunya.
He is married and has two boys. He was introduced to VVCF by another believer. He conducts a fellowship centre at Aurangabad and at their home each Sunday. He is looking forward to meeting and telling the good news to many people around him.”
How to Pray for Vision for the Visually Challenged
- We praise God for our visually challenged team and ask you to pray that we find more visually challenged missionaries to share the gospel in new places.
- Please pray for churches to open their doors to our ministry through prayer and financial support.
