Ministry Update: HOH (Ethiopia)

For the past 25 years, HOH has been a beacon of hope for vulnerable children in Ethiopia, providing holistic support to children in need and sharing the life-changing message of Jesus Christ. The heart of its mission is a deep commitment to meeting the spiritual, educational, and physical needs of the children under its care. Through its residential program, HOH offers a loving, nurturing environment where children can thrive. It provides nutritious meals, quality education, and access to healthcare, ensuring that each child’s basic needs are met.

HOH also serves numerous vulnerable children from the community, placing a strong emphasis on spiritual development alongside vocational training, life skills workshops, and income-generating activities. Many children who come to HOH as unbelievers have found new life in Christ and have gone on to become passionate followers of Jesus, and many of its graduates have gone on to become successful professionals, entrepreneurs, and community leaders, living out the organization’s vision of holistic transformation.

As always, the summer season is a significant time for us. We run large-scale programs that focus on academic, spiritual, and talent development for the children in our care. We also provide three meals a day and allow the kids to stay the whole day in the center throughout July and August.

One of the highlights during this season is our spiritual program called “Let It Shine,” which takes place over the course of a week. While this is one of our named spiritual events, it represents the many ongoing spiritual activities we conduct throughout the year.

We kindly ask for your prayers, not only for the success of the program itself but more importantly, for the children to come to know Jesus Christ personally and choose to follow His way.
