Ministry Update: Morning Light (Ethiopia)

Earlier this month, Morning Light hosted a one-day business refresher course for several of the mothers in its program. Each of these women is currently participating in income-generating activities, such as selling fast food or coffee, and this time was to encourage them as they operate their businesses.

They enjoyed bread and coffee or tea and discussed life challenges and business struggles. The government infrastructure project in Addis Ababa has affected many of these women, similar to reports from Hanna Orphan’s Home last month . Many of these women have lived near Morning Light’s headquarters but are now being relocated to outlying areas, making it challenging to participate in regular meetings. In addition, the planned highway expansion has affected their ability to operate their businesses on the streets.
