Ministry Update: Teen Ministry (Egypt)

For the past 25 years, Teen Ministry has served at-risk girls and, in the past couple of years, has expanded to include at-risk boys. The ministry reaches teenagers and young adults from one of Cairo’s most dangerous areas, full of Muslim fanatics, criminals, and extreme poverty.

Open Doors

The Lord has been opening many doors for sharing his Word. Young people have been meeting twice weekly, on Friday evenings and then on Sundays, for discussion and fellowship. In addition to in-person opportunities, Teen Ministry’s online presence has been growing, with many people messaging to ask questions and request help with youth meetings around the country.

Teen Ministry’s director shared a recent story about how the Lord is bringing people to hear the gospel:

“A young guy came with his friend last Sunday. He came to ask us to look after his friend because he wanted to end his own life, but during the meeting he broke into tears and asked us to pray for him to accept Jesus. He told us all about his desire to end his life as he was totally broken inside. He’s studying dentistry, but on top of what he’s going through, he had an accident and his right hand was totally affected and needed many surgeries.”
