Ministry Update: Thandanani House of Refuge (South Africa)

Thandanani House of Refuge (Johannesburg, South Africa) is dedicated to rescuing and restoring the lives of vulnerable children and teenagers who have been orphaned, abandoned, abused, or neglected.

In the early 2000s, Kingsway Christian School leadership recognized that many children were hindered in their education due to difficult home circumstances. Some had no access to electricity, while others were in situations of abuse. Determined to address this issue, the school opened Thandanani House of Refuge in 2003 to provide a safe and nurturing environment for these children to live and thrive.

Today, Thandanani House of Refuge provides a loving home and support for school-age children and teenagers. The ministry is committed to sharing the transformative power of the gospel with the children in its care.

It’s hard to believe we’re already halfway through the year! We’ve had a wonderful first six months, and our family continues to grow. We’re thrilled to introduce our sweet girls, K and A. They are four and five years old and are settling in beautifully.

There have been some exciting updates to our property as well. Our swimming pool has been filled in, creating more yard space for play and exploration.
