Ministry Update: Thandanani House of Refuge (South Africa)

Thandanani House of Refuge provides safe shelter and care for vulnerable children in South Africa. The ministry combines housing, education, healthcare, and discipleship to help children heal from trauma, providing a loving home and support for school-age children and teenagers. The ministry is committed to sharing the transformative power of the gospel with the children in its care.

Recently, Thandanani was able to use bazaar catalog funds to purchase new bunk beds and mattresses for the children. The previous beds had lasted for many years and were in need of replacement. To make the occasion even more special for the children, each child received a new Bible. It was a joyful and meaningful day for everyone, and the children were excited and thankful for these gifts.

How to Pray for Thandanani House of Refuge

• As much as the comfort of a new bed is vital for the children’s health and welfare, God’s word is essential for their spiritual health. Pray for the Lord to give the kids a hunger and thirst for Him and His Word and a joy in having their own Bibles.
• Pray for the Lord to provide peace and stability for the kids at Thandanani, revealing Himself to them as a kind and loving Father.
