Ministry Update: Reformed Heart Orphans Center (Kenya)

Reformed Heart Orphans Center is dedicated to rescuing and caring for orphans. Founded in 2009 in response to the devastating aftermath of the 2007 post-election violence, RHOC has become a refuge for 40 children who have lost their parents.

One of the most inspiring aspects of RHOC’s work is witnessing the spiritual transformation in the children’s lives. Through daily Bible studies, church attendance, and mentorship, many orphans have come to know Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior. These children, once devastated by the loss of their parents, have found hope, healing, and a new family in Christ through the ministry of RHOC.

In addition to spiritual nurture, RHOC is committed to providing the children with a well-rounded education that will equip them for a successful future.

We are thankful to God for the spiritual growth that we are witnessing among the children at RHOC. We labor hard to ensure that our children are fully informed about Christ and His power to save. Praise be to God our LORD that Ruth has confessed Christ and will soon be baptized together with other children in our Church!

We continue rejoicing in the LORD for the great things that He has done and continues to do for us here at RHOC!!! Just as I shared with you in my last email, surely God has done for us again! The Reformed Heart Comprehensive School is now a reality! Five classrooms and an office are now in the final stages, and very soon the classrooms will be ready for use! This school will provide an opportunity to better meet the needs of the children, church, and community by addressing growing concerns regarding the quality, content, and expense of the children’s education.
