Ministry Update: Mustard Seed Orphanage (Myanmar)

Mustard Seed ’s work centers on a deep commitment to sharing the gospel and nurturing the faith of the children and widows in its care. Many children who come to Mustard Seed have never known the love of Christ, but through the faithful teaching and modeling of the staff, they are coming to know Jesus as their Lord and Savior.

In January 2024, we sent out the following daily prayer request: Mustard Seed Organization would like to open a preschool to bring the gospel to families in the neighborhood. Please pray for them as they work through logistics and development for this plan.

Mustard Seed’s goal is twofold: firstly, a preschool will create more opportunities for outreach in the local community; secondly, it will provide employment for several Mustard Seed graduates who have received teaching certificates. The project will also enable Mustard Seed to generate additional funds for the orphanage and serve as an encouragement and model for similar projects in the future.

In answer to prayers, the preschool was opened earlier this spring with several Mustard Seed grads as teachers and assistants. Five children are already enrolled, and several more are in the process of enrollment.
