Ministry Update: Arise and Shine (Kenya)

Arise and Shine , a ministry in Kericho, Kenya, supports individuals with disabilities and their families. This ministry is driven by a deep compassion for seeing every person valued, cared for, and assisted to reach their God-given potential.

We are excited to share that Arise and Shine launched its new Physiotherapy and Sensory Facility last month! The launch event included approximately 100 participants, including caregivers, persons with disabilities, physiotherapists, nutritionists, government officials, and community members. It highlighted Arise and Shine’s continued commitment to promoting the rights, inclusion, and well-being of persons with disabilities, particularly children with neurodevelopmental disorders.

The event began with welcoming remarks from Arise and Shine leadership, who introduced the guests, partners, and community members present and emphasized the importance of partnerships in improving disability services. The gathering then observed a moment of prayer, sang a hymn, and listened to a brief sermon underscoring the value of compassion, inclusion, and collective responsibility towards vulnerable groups in society. After the ribbon-cutting ceremony, guests took a guided tour of the facilities.
