Ministry Update: Love Never Fails (Ethiopia)

Love Never Fails is a ministry in Ethiopia reaching women trapped in commercial sex work with Christ’s transforming love. Through relationship building, practical support, and spiritual discipleship, the ministry demonstrates that God’s love never fails, even for those society has abandoned.

The conflict in Iran and its impact on fuel supply has greatly affected Ethiopia’s economy. Many food items and other essentials are disappearing from store shelves because of lack of transportation due to the scarcity of fuel. Love Never Fails provides food and sanitary supplies to poor women with HIV every month, but it is growing increasingly difficult to purchase and deliver them.

Ministry continues despite hardships, and Love Never Fails has been able to reach out to several individuals this year, especially women living in poverty, women with HIV, and a few commercial sex workers. It provides ongoing health education and life skills training for poor female students at a school in the area. It also provides health education, income-generating activities, and basic skills training to its beneficiaries.

Love Never Fails is especially thankful for a partnership with the director’s church, which hosts a weekly prayer group to pray for these ladies and works hard to bring the gospel to them.

How to Pray for Love Never Fails

• Please pray for the Lord to remember the poor and provide for their needs, especially during the conflict in Iran.
• Pray for the director and his team, for God to use these difficult times to strengthen their faith in Him, helping them to look at the Lord rather than the hardships surrounding them.
• Pray that Love Never Fails may reach more women with the saving, life-giving hope of the gospel.
