Ministry Update: Mi Lugar (Argentina)

Mi Lugar is dedicated to providing comprehensive care for vulnerable children aged 1 to 3 in the Bajo Flores neighborhood of Buenos Aires, Argentina. Its goal is to ensure their physical, emotional, spiritual, and social development through high-quality services, including nutrition, early education, and family support, bringing God’s kingdom closer to their families and community.

Children attending the full-day program receive breakfast, lunch, and an afternoon snack. The day is filled with play-based learning activities, and a support team consisting of a social worker, psychomotor therapist, and educational therapist monitors children with special needs. The center’s chaplain meets with the teaching staff twice weekly for prayer for the children and various needs that arise.

Mi Lugar provides its services to low-income families, mostly single mothers (some of whom are teenagers themselves), unemployed people, or those with jobs earning well below minimum wage. Most of its families live in precarious housing within a settlement, renting a room and generally sharing the bathroom and kitchen.

• Pray for the Lord to protect the families, especially the children’s health.
• Pray for the Lord to work in each of these families, showing them their need for him and his great care for them.
• Pray for the Lord to give the teachers strength, wisdom, and grace in their daily work with the children.
