Answered Prayers for Oakseed’s African Ministry Partners (part 1)

The Lord has provided for the educational and physical needs of the orphans at Hannah House Family this year, and it was able to bring an additional three children into the home. It also opened two sewing centers in outlying communities, providing opportunities for gospel outreach as the women are trained in skills to help support their families.

HOH rejoices that over 90% of its children have grown up, completed their education, graduated from various universities, and can now support themselves and their families. The remaining 10% will do likewise in the next several years. As a result, HOH has expanded its outreach to women and children in the community.

The Lord answered prayers by bringing about a partnership with a local church to provide Christmas gifts and a gospel message to over 150 impoverished people in the community. Some government officials also attended, giving them a glimpse of JOMA’s mission and work in the community.

KNOC rejoices in the Lord’s keeping of and provision for 24 students this year. A few graduated high school and are pursuing higher education or vocational training. The board has had the opportunity to visit each student twice and each family once to pray with and challenge them spiritually, in addition to providing gifts of food and supplies.

The major recurring prayer request from KNOC is that its students will come to faith in Christ and fellowship in a local church. The Lord has been answering these prayers. This year, two students were baptized and joined their local churches.
