Ministry Update: Fountain of Life Christian School (Dominican Republic)

The school continues to have a vibrant evangelistic influence among its students and the community, and Dr. Horne had the opportunity to share the gospel in several meetings throughout the week.

At a teachers’ meeting, he spoke about how to talk to angry students and hold them accountable. They worked through several issues and had an enthusiastic time of questions afterward.

At a parents’ meeting, he also shared the biblical nature of discipline, appealing to the parents to support the school’s goals of using even discipline to train the children in biblical wisdom. As many unbelievers were present, it was an excellent opportunity to share the gospel and point the parents to their only hope.

After the parents’ meeting, he met with the senior students to help them work through how to plan for their futures. Dr. Horne focused on the most important question you can ask for future planning: “Who am I?” He then led a discussion about the parable of the talents in Matthew 25, pressing them to see that each of them is a steward called to be in a relationship with God and glorify Him with the talents entrusted to them, not just to live for themselves.
