Ministry Update: Love Link (El Salvador)

The Lord answered prayers by providing for a couple of necessary facilities repairs, including maintenance on a backyard wall and replacement of part of the roof at the baby house.

Two new babies have arrived at the baby house, both with severe malnutrition, and Love Link staff are working to meet their nutritional and medical needs. The outpatient checkup program served 86 patients in January, and 21 patients attended January medical nutritional brigades. Thanks to the Lord’s provision, the government social services department provided three doctors, allowing Love Link to offer outpatient care all week and do additional nutritional medical brigades to outlying areas.

The Lord has given Love Link an opportunity to partner with a public school in an area that has had a strong gang presence in the past. The school’s director works hard to ensure that the students are cared for, given a strong education, and provided with better opportunities for their futures to help them resist the draw of gangs. Love Link feeds the 450 students while bringing missions and evangelism teams to share the gospel with them.
