Introducing U Tawna (Myanmar)
U Tawna serves 39 children whose families face circumstances that make it impossible to keep them at home—children of missionaries serving in remote, high-risk regions and children displaced from conflict zones.
Missionaries serving in remote, unreached regions have no access to schools for their children. Parents in conflict zones watch their communities torn apart by war, leaving them with nowhere for their children to learn and grow safely. U Tawna provides a loving, Christ-centered residential environment where these children can thrive while their families continue to serve the Lord or rebuild their lives.
At U Tawna, children follow a structured daily schedule that includes wake-up routines, three balanced meals, study periods, devotions, and age-appropriate responsibilities. Five full-time residential staff members serve as house parents, tutors, and mentors —committed Christians who view their role as ministry, not merely employment.
Every student attends Christian School on a full-tuition scholarship, receiving quality Christian education that integrates academic excellence with spiritual formation. The residential staff provides daily morning devotions, leads students through the Word of God in both formal and informal settings, and creates constant opportunities for discipleship through the relationships formed in daily life together.
On Sundays, all students fully participate in the life of the local church, where they hear biblical preaching, worship, and are integrated into the broader church family. The gospel permeates every aspect of life at U Tawna—from morning devotions to evening prayers, from church services to everyday conversations around the dinner table.
