Answered Prayers for Oakeed’s Brazilian Ministry Partners (Part 1)

The young people are learning inductive study methods in the weekly Bible studies. The Lord has blessed these study times by bringing several young men to confess faith in Christ, be baptized, and join the church. Additionally, several parents have jumped in to assist with activities and snacks, providing opportunities to talk to them about Jesus.

The Lord provided a new building for Israel Shalom and funds for much-needed renovation. This wonderful blessing will allow Israel Shalom to expand its programs and reach more of the community with the gospel. The Lord has also answered prayers for additional like-minded volunteers.

JEAME recently celebrated its 43 rd anniversary as a ministry! The Lord has abundantly blessed this ministry over the years. Several young people who have come through the ministry have come to faith in Christ, repented of former sins, and are now pursuing evangelism and ministry opportunities.

JEAME specifically asked for prayer for wisdom as it follows up with young people after they are released from prison. In the past year, it has closely followed 18 teens and young people with weekly (and sometimes daily) contact through home visits, monthly food baskets, guidance on studying and work, and Bible studies. One young man, Levi, moved to another state upon release from prison with the firm intention of leaving crime behind, and two pastors from two different churches are caring for him there. Another young man, Marcos, has just entered college through a special partnership with another church in the area.
