Christmas at The Way

December is a very special month. We celebrate Christmas, and after that, the summer break starts. Normally, everybody is in a mood to share and help others. It is a great opportunity to invite people to join us in our activities and share how the gospel is inseparable from service and social work. Indeed, we received a lot of guests and people from our church partners.

In Mandelinha, we had the largest number of people from the church helping with the Christmas party, and the following Saturday, the church gave an official Christmas celebration at the slum. It was a cantata where the children from the school reinforcement sang together with the children of the church. This was very special and a true Christmas message. In a country with such a difference between rich and poor, to get everybody together to celebrate Jesus is awesome. One of the women from the community noted that it was very special to her to see her children being hugged by us, showing that we were all equal.
