On October 16, CEMIPRE celebrated their 20th anniversary, thanking God for the privilege of delivering training and hope to the visually impaired in Chile for so many years.
As part of their celebrations, they listened to testimonies from new users and old participants, collaborators, and founder John Rug.
- Please pray for the Lord to continue to use CEMIPRE to bring the gospel to the visually impaired of Chile.
- Please pray for the Lord to give CEMIPRE’s directors wisdom and perseverance as they seek to be faithful in serving the community with the gospel.
- Please pray for the Lord to give CEMIPRE’s participants joy through Christ, helping them to trust Him with their physical limitations.
One of the practical trainings CEMIPRE offers is helping their participants work on the use and handling of money with the help of the Central Bank of Chile’s banknote identification, a tool that helps a person with visual disabilities verify currency by size of each note.
Another class they offer teaches the practical application of healthy habits and self-care, emphasizing implementation of healthy and balanced diets, physical activity, and social interactions.
They also took a group to a local museum, encouraging social interactions, mobility training, and community-building.
