Morning Light

Morning Light
Morning Light provides child education, helps empower women, and brings health services to the needy, serving 243 widows, single mothers, and orphans in the slums outside of Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. Children receive healthy meals, medical care, school supplies, clothing, and tutoring assistance to ensure impoverished kids can thrive. Women participate in income-generating activities to support their families and rise out of poverty. Single mothers receive food to meet the nutritional needs of their children. Morning Light also raises awareness regarding key social-political issues impacting women in the community. Morning Light holds a two-month summer camp for children filled with games, sports, and gospel truth each summer. Additionally, students can participate in a new five-day program—in collaboration with another Christian organization—which combines sports with gospel teaching.
  • Pray for students to come to faith in Jesus, glorify God in their studies, and are equipped to secure jobs when they grow up. Ask for parents to experience transformed hearts and lives as they hear the gospel.
