In August 2022, Jars of Oil Mission Africa hosted a children’s Bible camp. They taught basic Bible stories, led the children in memorizing Scripture and singing, and offered various crafts and exercise activities. They found that most of the children who attended had no knowledge of the Bible, and, as a result, they came away with a desire to provide more regular instructional time for these kids to hear and interact with God’s Word. Thanks to several volunteers who have willingly committed their Saturdays to minister to the kids, JOMA rejoices to see these children growing in the knowledge of God’s Word. Several have memorized Bible verses, can recite the Lord’s prayer, and are working through the implications of Christ’s death and resurrection.

Please pray for the Lord to bring His word to bear fruit in these children’s lives, giving them new hearts of faith in Jesus.

Pray also for these volunteers, thanking the Lord for their hearts to serve and asking for them to grow in their own spiritual lives, love for the kids, and wisdom and discernment in teaching.
