“And Mary said: ‘My soul glorifies the Lord and my spirit rejoices in God my Savior, for he has been mindful of the humble state of his servant.’” - – Luke 1:46:48a
God came to dwell in Mary in the person of His son, Jesus. Mary responds with praise and adoration, that she of such humble position would receive such a great blessing. Mary understands that the honor she has received is to be a servant of the Lord [Luke 1: 38].

The good news of Christmas is that God has come in the humble position of a baby. “All this took place to fulfill what the Lord had said through the prophet: “The virgin will be with child and will give birth to a son, and they will call him Immanuel”—which means, “God with us”[Matthew 2:22-23].
The good news of Christmas is that God has come to dwell in us. “In him you too are being built together to become a dwelling in which God lives by his Spirit”[Ephesians 2:22].

The good news of Christmas is that God has come to remove the barrier of sin and death which separates man from eternal life with God.

“Through the heartfelt mercies of our God, God’s Sunrise will break in upon us, Shining on those in the darkness, those sitting in the shadow of death, Then showing us the way, one foot at a time, down the path of peace” – [Luke 1:78-79 The Message]
