Recently, Ashirvad Kanti shared the story of one of the young people who has come through their children’s home and educational programs:

Surekha has been with Ashirvad for the last 12 years, coming to live with them as a resident student in 2013. She comes from a remote village and desires to become a doctor and go back and serve her village. She came to know Jesus while living at the Ashirvad Home and is a strong believer.

India has a highly competitive examination requirement for anyone wanting to pursue medical studies. Surekha tried the exam last year but was unsuccessful. She tried again this year, and by the grace of God, she passed her exam and will be starting her medical studies soon!

Prayer Points

• Give thanks to the Lord for helping Surekha persevere and pass her exam!
• Pray for the Lord to help Surekha in her medical studies, growing her in wisdom and knowledge both academically and spiritually.
• Pray for the Lord to give Surekha boldness in sharing her faith with others she encounters.
