Ministry Update: Ashirvad Kanti (India)

An early spring update from Ashirvad Kanti in Nagpur, India:

The founder of Ashirvad Kanti, Mrs. Puspha Waghmare, was honored by the Mayor of Delhi (the capital of India) with a lifetime achievement award for her exceptional work in Christian service. Give thanks for the more than 30 years that the Lord has made Ashirvad a light in the slums of Nagpur, and pray for Him to give them continued boldness and creativity as they continue to share the gospel there.

Several students have recently completed training courses in basic computer skills and tailoring. Please pray for the Lord to grow these students in wisdom and skill so they can provide for their families. Pray that the Lord would cause His Word to bear fruit in their hearts and bring them to faith in Christ.

Computer Class Graduates

Tailoring Class

Ashirvad has been able to restart its Dharampeth center and is thrilled to have a graduate of their classes return to teach computer classes there. She will teach preschool children and train young people in computer skills. Give thanks for the Lord’s work in raising up a teacher from the Ashirvad community, and pray for Him to give her wisdom and help in teaching these classes. Pray for the Lord to continue to work in people’s hearts and bring more graduates back to Ashirvad to join in the Lord’s work.

Dharampeth Center

Ashirvad hosted a seminar for missionary kids, drawing in over 42 young people from various parts of central and northern India for times of worship, testimonies, prayer, teaching, and encouragement. Please pray for these young people to continue to be encouraged and for the Lord to grow them in faith, love, and steadfastness.
