Ministry Update: Easter Outreaches

As we prepare to celebrate Christ’s death and resurrection this Easter, please pray for Oakseed’s ministry partners and their planned outreach opportunities. Holidays provide unique opportunities to gather people in their programs and communities, share a clear gospel message, and meet physical needs with special gifts, such as food and clothing.

Prayer Points

  • Please pray for the Lord to help all Oakseed’s ministry partners bring a clear gospel message to their communities this Easter.
  • Pray for the Lord to prepare hearts, give people a hunger and thirst for Him, and bring many to repentance and faith in Christ this season.

Here is a sampling of some of the planned Easter outreaches

Jars of Oil Mission Africa (Uganda) hopes to host a celebration for the kids in their programs, focusing on the Bible lessons they’ve been teaching and preparing a treasure hunt for them.

Reformed Heart Orphans Center (Kenya) plans to hold a two-day gospel retreat for their children and kids from the church and community. The theme is “Love, Forgiveness, and New Life,” with a focus on the love of God in sending His only Son to suffer and die for the forgiveness of our sins and the resurrection of Jesus from the dead, giving us new life in Him. They also plan to have fun activities and treats for the attending kids.

Love Link (El Salvador) has several Easter outreaches planned at their different facilities. They will host a mission team from an American school the weekend before Easter, who will lead a special children’s evangelism program in one of Love Link’s feeding centers. In the week leading up to Easter, as families bring their children in for medical checkups, Love Link will be sharing with the families about the sacrifice of Jesus on the cross and His glorious resurrection. They will do this in all of the Children’s Feeding Centers, hosting special programs with special meals.

Sugandh (India) will share the Easter message with the children in their programs and give each child a new set of clothes and shoes.

Teen Ministry (Egypt) celebrates Easter in the first week of May, according to the Egyptian calendar. They will encourage their young people to spend time with their families and give them gifts of clothes and food.

Hannah House Family (Burundi) will be sharing the Easter message with their children in the orphanage and vulnerable children in their community, in addition to providing a special meal to all the children.

Lily of the Valleys (Brazil) will host several special events throughout the week, including a luncheon, Bible studies, and Easter egg distribution.
